A shop in which he created the first telescopic level for Sir Isaac Newton. A shop that through the evolution of company ownerships, became what is today, Accent Optical Technologies. So, while Sir Isaac Newton was a legendary scientist and mathematician, we also count him as one of our earliest customers. Through the years, John Worgan's shop evolved into Vickers Instruments, which Bio-Rad purchased in the 20th Century. Bio-Rad also acquired Polaron, Digilab and Sandia Systems. Today, Accent operates as a privately held company headquartered in Bend, Oregon with offices in 9 countries and more than 250 employees, including over 70 technologists. The company has three research and development facilities, two manufacturing locations, and a global sales and service team that operates throughout Asia, Europe and North America.
